But recently, the TV Show\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@WorldofChinese\/the-rap-of-china-1e2f4d94f596\">The Rap of China<\/a>\u00a0, broadcasted on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/investing\/2017\/08\/17\/the-netflix-of-china-a-closer-look-at-baidus-huge.aspx\">iQiyi<\/a>\u00a0(one of the largest online video platform in China) has pushed the Hip Hop culture forward on the Chinese stage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-554  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/thechinesepulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/the-4-judges-of-_The-rap-of-China_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"452\" height=\"256\" \/><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 4 Judges of the \u00a0\u201c The Rap of China\u201d show<\/span><\/i><\/h6>\n<p>This TV show, on which singers fight to be elected the best Chinese rapper, received an investment of more than 250 million yuan. The show had successfully helped the Chinese underground hip-hop singers to increase significantly their income.<br \/>\nRap singers earnings can\u00a0reach up to ten times what they had\u00a0before and some singers said that they can finally earn a life from what they love.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The show had firstly made a\u00a0buzz when the famous idol\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessoffashion.com\/community\/people\/kris-wu?collections=10&amp;nationalities=44&amp;offset=8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kris WU\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(who is on the 2017 list of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessoffashion.com\/community\/bof500\/2017\">Business of fashion Top\u00a0500 personalities<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shaping the Global Fashion Industry<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) was chosen to be one of the judges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 12 episodes of the show have been played more than 2.99 billion times, from the first day that the show aired on the 24<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0June, until the 7th of September 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-421 \" src=\"https:\/\/thechinesepulse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/Kris-Wu-wearing-Supreme-in-the-show.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"359\" height=\"263\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i>Kris WU wearing Supreme on the show<\/i><\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iQiyi has registered its own street brand\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mall.iqiyi.com\/kszt\/therapofchina20170703.html?innerPath=therapofchina_170704\">R!CH<\/a>\u00a0(Rising! Chinese hip-hop) before the show launched it very successful during\u00a0the show. Today, the brand sells very well on its online shop. The e-shop does not only carry R!CH \u00a0brand but gathers other street brands like Supreme, Palace and some local Chinese brands. Most of the outfits were worn by the judges and the singers during the different shows to promote the brands and their styling\u00a0offering them\u00a0the largest media exposure than ever in China. In the other hand it&rsquo;s important\u00a0to check the evolution of this trend in the coming months as it also might cool off.
